Hi, I’m Julie Houlihan
Music Supervisor & Music Editor

A music supervisor since 1998, Julie began editing her song pitches to picture, and developed into a union Music Editor by 2011. She often performs both jobs on a project, but also enjoys collaborating in one role or the other. Recent projects include The Underdoggs (MGM), Renfield (Universal), American Fiction (MGM), A League of Their Own (Amazon), Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Netflix), Last Black Man in San Francisco (A24/Plan B), Who You Gonna Call? (Sony Pictures Television), and The Luckiest Guy in the World: The Bill Walton Story (ESPN).

With a degree in Music/Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University, Julie began her film music career as a music assistant at New Line Cinema and has also worked in creative roles at MCA/Universal Music Publishing and Warner Bros. Television. She has broad experience with on camera performances, pre-records, Union issues, clearance, budgeting, mixing, ProTools and postproduction.Julie is a founding member of The Guild of Music Supervisors, and a member of the Motion Picture  Editors Guild, The Television Academy, and SAG. She leads the parent group for Jazz at Hamilton High School Academy of Music & Performing Arts (AMPA) and served six years as President of the board for Walter Reed Middle School’s music program, both LAUSD schools.
